In 2022, we set a goal to produce a sustainability report and obtain certification in this field. This effort included a thorough diagnosis of our practices across the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and governance. Additionally, our agricultural infrastructure has allowed us to face climate challenges, ensuring consistent production.
Water care is a priority, with the adoption of technologies such as drip irrigation and hydroponics to maximize resource use. We have also implemented a water treatment plant to ensure responsible reuse. In 2024, the company began an environmental management project to monitor and improve its impact on the environment.
Regarding waste management, Los Pinos has worked on compost production and the adoption of new agricultural technologies to maintain productivity. The use of natural predators and biological control to combat pests has been key to reduce reliance on chemical products, promoting healthy and sustainable crops.
